INSPIRATION BOARD: Blue Lotus | Glass Wallpaper Series

The inspiration for this pattern came from the treasures of nature including peacock feathers and the colors of the ocean.


One of our designers, Sarah Ryan, was researching the incredible patterns & colors of nature when she suddenly  knew that she had to combine the elements of sea life and remarkable feathered creatures into one spectacular design. A lot of  brainstorming and several sketch drafts later, this was one of the few designed that made it to the finalists.

Our mosaicists used the best quality glass mosaic tesserae for this piece of art. Each little piece was individually hand cut and placed manually. As for the grout we knew it had to be special, the normal opaque kind just wouldn’t go well with the well-lit kitchen interior.

So we reverted to our trusty old friend, clear epoxy by Mapei. The transparency of it gave the glass wall an extra touch of glimmer. It further brings out the brilliance of the glass tiles and adds an extra dimension to the masterpiece.
