Mosaic in Parks
There’s nothing quite as precious as art displayed in open ordinary surroundings. Nature connecting with man-made creativity can be really enchanting at times. We are talking about ‘eco-friendly’ artistic structures of course, that come in various forms like architecture, sculptures, murals, mosaics and others. Below is a little list of a few mosaic projects done in parks of different regions of the world. Many of these are accessible free of cost and are displayed in public for anyone to see. Just imagine how delightful it would be to walk-by one such marvel everyday on your way to work.
Or a scenario in which you, along with a group of friends, come across a magnificent mosaic work by chance and realize it’s a perfect spot for creating some visual memories with photography. Some of the mosaic projects, like the 16th Avenue Moraga Steps of San Francisco are so popular that they become a tourist attraction and people travel from all over the country and the world to go see them. Another prominent example is Park Güell in Barcelona that features intricate works of an artist called Antoni Gaudí. The park was started in the very start of the 20th century, was eventually opened to public in 1914 and officially holds the status of a UNESCO World Heritage site now.
